Probably the next best cell phone option is the Sanyo SCP4900, because it is an excellent phone and is also currently FREE at Amazon with the rebates. It comes with Sprint rather than T-Mobile service. It’s not a flip phone like the Samsung, and weighs another ounce, BUT the battery life is superior.

Again, if you use the wireless headset and the clip described above, cell phones appear to be a safe option -- after a decade’s absence, I have rejoined the masses on this one.
